 OUR RESPONSIBILITY FOR SHIPMENT CEASES WHEN THE CARRIER SIGNS THE BILL OF LADING

In case of loss or damage, it is important that you notify the carrier and insist on a notation of loss or damage across the face of the freight bill, otherwise no claim can be enforced against the transportation company.

If concealed loss or damage is discovered, notify the carrier at once and request an inspection. This is absolutely necessary. A concealed damage report must be made within 15 days of delivery of shipment. UNLESS YOU DO THIS the carrier will not entertain any claim for loss or damage. The agent will make an inspection and grant a concealed damage notation.

IF YOU GIVE THE TRANSPORTATION COMPANY A CLEAR RECEIPT FOR ITEMS THAT HAVE BEEN LOST OR DAMAGED, YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK AND EXPENSE.

KOLD PACK, INC. will assist you with loss or damage claims. Kold Pack is not responsible for any loss or damage, when you accept delivery from the carrier. The filing and processing of claims is your responsibility.
